Tested - Short Film

Written and performed by level six acting students at Rose Bruford College, short film ‘Tested’ (written by Susanna Fullah) tells the story of Ella, a girl who gets trapped in the waiting room of a sexual health clinic with an eccentric group of individuals after the electronic doors break.

Getting to work with award-winning writer and director Sam Peter Jackson was an incredible opportunity. The set was supposed to feel as though an Apple store met a doctor’s waiting room. Sam wanted to stay fluid with the direction on shoot days. To accommodate this, I designed all of the set pieces to be modular and easy to manipulate.

There was also the opportunity to assist d.o.p Jack Ayers with lighting the film; this involved covering the venue's skylights with bin bags to block out unwanted light and holding titan tubes, moving in sync with the camera.
